Marius si Georgi pleaca in India – partea III – Viza / We are going to India – part III – Visa

Buna! Ce mai faceti voi?

Hello! How are you?

As promised, here I am back with new details about our departure to India. Only few days left and I am impatient:)

About 10 days ago we sent all the necessary info for applying for the Visa to the tourism agency that organizes our tour. The process seems to be a simple one: we had to submit a photo of each of us 5×5 (by the way I look awful in it), a copy of our passports and a special form filled with different several details.

Among the info requested – excepting the regular ones such as name, address, passport number, we were also asked details about each of our parents and also if one of our grand parent was a Pakistani citizen or belonged to this areal.

Destul de interesant, nu? Iata de ce: Conflict si  razboaie Indo-pakistaneze.

Pretty interesting, no? Here is why:  Indo-pakistani conflicts and wars.

Pe langa acestea, a mai trebuit sa declaram daca lucram in armata, daca am vizitat recent o tara SAARC (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldive, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka), dar si sa mentionam toate tarile vizitate in ultimii 10 ani.

Besides this, we also had to mention if we are working for the army, if we recently visited a SAARC country (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldive, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) and to provide a list of all countries visited in the last 10 years.

The next step is to wait for the confirmation of Visa approval and to prepare our luggage.

Ce am mai facut in plus?

What else we did? As our doctor recommended, we also ordered a special spray anti-insects, that can usually be found where there is also malaria risk. You can find this on Himalya.ro website and it is called DEET.

I will also try to find out more about a possible travel insurance and we are completely ready. I think the next article will be about preparing the luggage.

Pana atunci – pupici! :*

Until next time – kisses! :*

Marius si Georgi pleaca in India – partea II – Vaccinarea / We are going to India – part II – Vaccination

Buna!!!

Hi there!!!

Asa cum am promis, am revenit cu o noua postare despre apropiata noastra calatorie in India: Vaccinarea!

As promised, I am back with updates about our close trip to India: Vaccination! Ever since we had the first discussion with our travel agent we asked about this subject.

He shared with us some insights and we also did a bit of research, the result being the same: for a trip to India there is no mandatory vaccine to consider. However, there are some others recommended, that we, after discussion with a specialist, chose to do.

The doctor we have consulted is Serban Rodica and works within Medlife clinic. I had a very pleasant discussion with her, she was very patient and answered all my questions.

Sa va spun ce am aflat:

Let me share with you what I found out:

1.Analize

1.Blood analysis

Inainte sa putem determina de care vaccinuri are fiecare dintre noi nevoie, am facut un set de analize care sa determine la care tip de hepatita suntem imuni si daca mai avem anticorpi, ca urma a unui vaccin anti-tetanus facut in trecut (in cazul meu).

Before deciding on which vaccines each of us needs, we had some blood analysis that would help us determine which kind of hepatitis we are immune to, if we have antibodies as result of a previous anti-tetanus done (in my case).

As Medlife did not have any convenient availability for us, we learnt from Miky about Synevo, a medical center that was perfect for us – no pre-scheduling, no waiting and with the results in around 4 hours after the analysis.

Pretul analizelor: 270 RON / 2 persoane

Blood analysis price: 270 RON/ 2 persons

2. Vaccinuri

2. Vaccines

After we had the results, we took another appointment with the doctor to actually do the vaccines. And the funny part follows: Even I, during my long life, I had many vaccines, analysis and other things, Marius has much more antibodies that I do, so he had only 2 vaccines: for typhoid fever and anti-tetanus. Lucky me, I am the champion: 4 vaccines and pain in both arms for a week!!!

When it comes to the price, I can tell you the total, but it depends on the clinic you belong to, what kind of subscription and if you chose to find the vaccines on your own. For 6 doses, 12 anti-malaria pills and 2 appointments we paid 1600 lei. Is it worth? we hope so! At least we will travel more relaxed!

By the way, it seems in India there were cases of Zika virus – and it is not recommended to go while pregnant and whoever travels there should avoid getting pregnant during 6 months after the first contact with the country.

I know and I have talked with many persons who traveled there and did not have problems and this is giving me a positive vibe, however, we will try to be careful.

Si Marius si eu suntem acum mandri posesori ai unor Carnete de Vaccinuri Internationale si suntem protejati impotriva hepatitei si a febrei tifoide pentru urmatorii 10 ani – deci, trebuie sa profitam si sa mergem in cele mai indepartate colturi ale lumii.

Marius and I, we are now proud possessors of International Vaccination Certificates and we are immune to hepatitis and typhoid fever for the following 10 years – so, we must take advantage and travel to the most far corners of the world.

Sanatatea este cea mai importanta!

Health is the most important!

Curand – partea a 3a. Viza!

Soon – part III. Visa!

By the way – I have a friend trying to make his place in the business world. He is producing and selling very nice traditional Turkish products. Have a look!

Marius si Georgi pleaca in India / We are going to India – part 1

Buna, buna dragilor!

Hello, hello my dears!

Ce mai faceti voi?

How are you?

Today I decided to begin a series with an unlimited number of articles, as I do not know what other challenges we might face or how many interesting things I would like to tell you about.

Asa cum ati citit in titlu, anul acesta Marius si cu mine vom pleca in vacanta in India.

As you already read in the title, this year, Marius and I we are going in a holiday to India. I am pretty sure you are now wondering: Why India? Well, we do not have a very good explanation, because we never spoke too much about it and we certainly did not begin this year thinking about a trip to India.

We knew, of course, that this year we would like to go somewhere far away, but our first options were New York and Brazilia – and we even consulted offers from different tourist offices in order to have a clear image of what it implies.

For New York, one of the Visa related requests is to submit for review all previous passport during the interview, but I unfortunately I cannot find them. The very kind people we met at the travel agency told us that there is a pretty high risk not to get the Visa, so we decide to postpone an eventual departure to New York. Although, everybody I know and went previously to New York said they did not face any similar challenge. For us, it was not meant to be this year.

Then, when looking to some other offers we saw an interesting circuit in India, another one in Vietnam and Cambodgia, but nothing was enough for us. All this, up to oen Friday, when taking advantage of my Happy Friday, I left the office earlier, I had a very nice lunch with Marius and we wandered on the streets.

As we were heading towards Cismigiu, we saw two travel agency, one next to the other: Paralela 45 and Christian Tour. We entered the first one – and the rest is history! It took us about 5 minutes to decide about a circuit in the North part of India, 10 days and 5 cities 🙂

Am luat oferta, am mers in Cismigiu, ne-am asezat pe o banca si am analizat traseul si pretul.

We took the offer, we went to Cismigiu, sat on a bench and we analyzed the details and the price. The following Monday we paid the first part. I decide to take note of all details so this posts will also contain prices for different things we considered for a nicer and safer trip.

Preturi – in linii mari

Prices

In order to share more details about the trip, I can tell the price was 1144 euro/person. This price contains accommodation to 4 star hotels during the entire trip, with breakfast and dinner included, round trip by plane (Qatar Airways), transportation with the agency’s bus during the trip, the tours and entrance fees to the different touristic objectives (mentioned in the program), the trip on the elephants and the local guides. We considered it a reasonable price, as this will also be our official honeymoon (even if we are legally married for almost three years now) :)).

Excepting this, we will pay 50 euro/person for the visa and we understood it is pretty easy to get – our travel agent will handle it, we only took the photos and we will send all necessary documents.

Itinerariu

Itinerary

We will leave from Bucharest on 29th of April and we’ll arrive in the same day to Delhi, with a short layover in Doha, Qatar – city that I honestly think we won’t get the chance to visit.

The cities included in our itinerary are Delhi, Mandawa, Jaipur, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra. More details about each city will be shared most probably upon our return or on my Instagram account during the trip.

I really believe this trip will be a very special one for us! I can’t wait the departure 🙂

Pana una alta, voi reveni curand cu detalii despre pregatiri – Partea 2. Vaccinurile! Le-am facut ieri si acum am dureri de brate fenomenale 🙂 Marius e barbat, rezista mai bine!

Until then, I will revert soon with other details about the preparations – Part 2. Vaccination! We took them yesterday and I have incredible pain in my arms 🙂 Marius is a real man, he resists better!

Pe curand! 🙂

XOXO till the next! 🙂

Favorite things / Lucruri preferate

Hello people!

It has been a while, but I am back 🙂

I decided to share with you some favorites of mine that I have discovered lately. Maybe they could be useful for you as well.

  1. Photo albums from Cartuseria

Lately, I have been looking for some special photo albums as Marius has many, many old photos with his grand-parents and great-great parents that he would like to keep. Up to know, they were kept in envelopes, but with the time they got damaged. As you might know, old photos have strange shapes, some are very small, so it was very hard to use a normal photo album.

While searching for some smaller albums, I found at Cartuseria some albums that have kind of adhesive, not too much, but they do allow you to add photos of different shapes. I am very satisfied with the quality and with the result. You can find below a link to the type of album I bought.

Photo album

2.  Lipstick from Astor

I have been looking for a while now for a lipstick that would last for long, would be matte and won’t give that oily feeling on the lips. My sister suggested me the Astor Perfect Stay lipstick and I a more than happy with it.

3. Music

Lately I have two favorite songs. One was suggest by hubby and it’s Him & I – G-Eazy and Halsey. Love it!!

The 2nd one, it’s a Turkish song that I firstly heard in a series that I am currently watching. The singer is Ceza and the name of the song is Suspus.

4. TV Series

Well, the 2nd song mentioned above, it is often used in emphasizing some very interesting parts of the Turkish series suggested by my friends Elif and Gamze – Ufak Tefak Cinayetler. I can’t wait Wednesdays to see a new episode!

That was it folks!! Kisses till the next 🙂

Budapest/Budapesta

During last year, our last trip was the one two Budapest. It was indeed  special one as we invited our parents to join. My dad and mom came back car, while my mother in law, together with me an Marius, we flew over.

It was a marathon, as we only spent 48 hours in there – however I do believe that we enjoyed the time at its fullest.

Our parents resisted better than we thought. Marius and I are used to walk large distances, to go from one side to another, to sleep less and get up early even in holidays. And they did it as well! Of course, there were signs of tiredness, however they did not complain too much. It was like they rediscovered their adventurous inner.

We did not visit too many objectives or museums, however, what we saw was enough to amaze us. In the first week we focused on the Buda part – with Matthew’s Cathedral, the Citadel and the Fisherman’s Bastion.

In the 1st evening we went to the Christmas market organized in front of the Saint Stephan’s Cathedral and we became once again kids while watching the amazing 3d screenings on the huge walls. We drank mulled wine and tried some local cuisine before going home and sleep in order to get ready for the 2nd day.

We do enjoy traditional things – that is why we started the following day with few hours spent at the local market. We tried some food, some beer, we both some souvenirs for the ones back home and we agreed to come back later on that night to have dinner.

We visited the area close to the Parliament, as it was closed to visit due to an official meeting with China’s representatives. We walked along the shore and we saw the Memorial Shoes Monument, tracing the tragic destiny of the Jews during the WW II.

After this, we had the most beautiful trip with the tram along the Danube. Once we got back to the Center, we went looking for store that used to be famous years ago – Tesco. Of course, we were able to find a small one,but when returning to Romania we stopped by a bigger one in Debrecen.

We also visited the old part of the city, with the museums and the old chateau – it was amazing, like a fairy tale. This was the end point of our short, but amazing trip.

Now, we are preparing for a greater trip in an amazing destination. Can’t wait for it !!!

Patience / Rabdare

Patience was never one of my virtues.  I was always a person with a ”do it now” attitude. Life taught me several lessons about this important topic, but still, I cannot say I had enough.

I always want to see results, on the spot if possible – I deeply dislike going round and round to obtain the same result.

Sometimes, I regret that I pay attention and have patience to listen to things that are not really important for me. I often realize that I should listen more to my family and very close friends than to – let’s call them strangers.

I am guilty of being a victim of this stressful system, society and world.

Let’s pay attention to the real important things and have patience with those who really deserve it!

Hello everybody!

Salutare!

As promised, here I am, back to the blog to share some more things with you. But first of all, tell me: How are you? How is your life? How are things going? Everything good at work or with your children, cats and dogs? 🙂

Today, I would like to tell you more about a quite new project of mine: A Scrapbook. As you might have already noticed, Marius and I enjoy travelling a lot. My husband is a very sentimentalist person and he enjoys gathering small things as memories.

We started doing that during our first trip together internationally – and when I mean this I refer to our planned trip abroad, because as some of you know, we already met internationally – in Republic of Turkey.

Am inceput asta in timpul primei noastre calatorii in afara – si cand spun asta ma refer la o calatorie planuita, pentru ca asa cum unii dintre voi stiu deja, ne-am cunoscut in afara, in Republica Turcia.

Marius kept the bus tickets, I kept the museum entry tickets and at first, as we were spending more time apart, we used to write something for each other and exchange the tickets at the end of the trip.

It was nice to have a good cry after our planes were departing in different directions. 😦 But all is good now and even if we do not spent how much time we would like to together, we do enjoy it and dream about the day when nothing would separate us.

But back to the scrapbook!

Dar inapoi la Jurnal!

We wanted to keep all the tickets safe so I thought about putting them all together, in a chronological order in an album. I started with Republic of Turkey, as it will always be a special place for us.

Below you can see some pictures of the work I have done so far. Enjoy and there will be more to come!
